No signup. No tracking. All math runs in your browser.
Generic converters ignore the messy parts — backtracking, hidden vehicle costs, surprise baggage fees. These three tools handle the questions most travel math gets wrong.
Each calculator was built because existing options either skip the question entirely or give numbers that don't match real costs.
Is your route actually efficient?
Most planners let you list cities in any order. This one flags when your route is wasting 30% of your trip on backtracking — and tells you the best reordering.
Gas + hotel isn't the budget.
A $0.20/km EV trip can still cost more than a $0.15/km gas trip once you add depreciation, tire wear, and the rental markup nobody quotes up front.
Prepaid, gate, or just ship it?
"How much is overweight luggage?" depends on the airline, the route, and whether you prepaid. Most calculators pick one airline and one number. This one compares three options.
You don't need all three. Use the one closest to the question you're actually asking.
Reasonable defaults are filled in. The tools will tell you when an assumption is being made.
Every result lists what's included, what's not, and where the answer could be off by 20%+.
Most "travel calculators" online are thin: a single input, a single output, no accounting for the things that actually blow a budget. They were built to capture ad impressions, not to answer a real planning question.
VoyageCalc started as a personal spreadsheet for planning multi-stop road trips with friends. We kept hitting the same three questions — "is this route actually efficient?", "is renting an EV actually cheaper?", "should I just ship this bag home?" — and built these tools so the next trip wouldn't start with the same arguments.
Each tool makes its assumptions visible. The baggage calculator shows prepaid vs gate pricing because that difference can be $200 on a single bag — something almost no other free tool surfaces. The road trip calculator doesn't hide vehicle depreciation behind a "miscellaneous" line because for a 5,000 km trip, depreciation is often the single largest cost.
Multi-City Trip Optimizer — answers "is my itinerary actually feasible in the time I have?" It can't tell you which cities are worth visiting, only whether your schedule lets you visit them. It also doesn't have access to live flight prices or schedules.
Road Trip Real Cost — answers "what's the real all-in cost of driving there?" It can't account for accidents, breakdowns, or toll-system differences between countries.
Baggage Fee Reality Check — answers "is the cheapest way to get my bag there really to check it?" It uses posted airline fees; elite status discounts, credit card benefits, and promotional waivers are not modeled.
What this site is: A small set of free travel-planning calculators built for individual travelers. The site is run by a small independent team that travels frequently and got tired of generic tools that ignored the parts of trip planning that actually cost money.
Who it's for: Independent travelers planning multi-stop trips, road trips, or international flights where the standard "gas + hotel" or "1 checked bag free" assumptions don't apply.
Limitations: These tools use simplified models. Real costs vary by season, exact route, current promotions, and personal habits. Always cross-check with the actual vendor before committing to a non-refundable booking. We are not a travel agency and don't sell bookings, tickets, or insurance.
Personal data: We do not collect personal data through these calculators. All inputs (cities, weights, distances, costs) are processed entirely in your browser and are not sent to our servers, logged, or stored.
Cookies: This site does not set first-party cookies. We do not use analytics that require cookies (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no session-tracking cookies).

While we try to keep airline baggage rules, fuel prices, depreciation assumptions, and routing logic current, these change frequently and can vary by region, date, and individual contract. Always verify the final cost with the actual airline, rental company, fuel provider, or other vendor before making a non-refundable commitment.
